Features

Document editing

AccesSuite allows reading and editing a complete document with its structure, images and formulas. The goal is to work on a real course material, not just a text conversion.

  • Headings and hierarchical level management
  • Bulleted and numbered lists
  • Rich content copy-paste with object preservation
  • Dedicated native format to preserve work structure

Mathematical formulas

Formulas can be entered, read and converted between multiple notations without changing their content. The student can also dictate a formula by voice when they prefer voice recognition.

  • French mathematical braille, LaTeX and AsciiMath
  • Insert a formula with Ctrl+M
  • Voice reading of a formula with Ctrl+Shift+Enter
  • Voice input for formulas, direct calculation and global language change

Synchronized viewer

The accessible editor is paired with a graphical viewer in a second panel. This helps the student, specialist teacher, support assistant or transcription centre work on the same document more easily.

  • Switch between editor and viewer with F6
  • Visual rendering check before export or printing
  • Better coordination between sighted and visually impaired users

Images and PDFs

When a document contains diagrams, charts or important images, AccesSuite can generate detailed descriptions. The software also offers OCR to retrieve content from PDFs or inaccessible images.

  • Local OCR for basic processing without network dependency
  • Advanced online OCR for technical or complex documents
  • Short or long image descriptions
  • AI-assisted detailed description to better understand visuals

Navigation and productivity

The software includes an element-based navigation mode and useful shortcuts to work faster without multiplying actions during work.

  • Navigation by formula, image, heading and paragraph
  • Braille keyboard activatable according to usage context
  • Built-in scientific calculator
  • Simplified file explorer
